Who Else Wants a Fuel-Efficient Hearse?
With the “green” movement reaching into every aspect of our lives, it’s no wonder that it is starting to reach into some aspects of death as well. The new Prius hearse is proof of that.
If you have ever worried about emitting too many pollutants into the air when your final ride takes you to your burial, it’s time to stop worrying. The Toyota Prius Hearse, which the Lequois company is making, is a fuel-efficient hybrid vehicle that will relieve that guilt.
Currently, the new hybrid hearses are in the design phase. However, some of the modifications include a 77.2 inch extension which makes it longer than 21 feet. The larger size may make it less efficient than the Prius that we have come to know and love, but developers are still boasting that it will get about 44 miles to the gallon. They also estimate the cost is going to be around $80,000. A release date for the Prius hearse has not been announced.
Would you choose to have a hybrid hearse take you to your final resting place? Or do fuel-efficient funeral cars matter to you when you leave this world?
